BN: Bought pomegranate, instead of cranberry, juice (packaging looks similar).
GN: The pomegranate juice works almost as well as the cranberry, so not a total loss. (But I will be more careful in the future.)

Bad: Lots of rain, constant fear of leak via chimney brest.
Good: Eight weeks post Achilles tendon rupture, removal of Aircast Boot. Lots of physio and mobility exercises to follow.

GN: I turned up a couple of books I'd been wondering where they were.

BN: none of them were actually the book I was looking for right now...

GN I rode my bike. Only to Tadcaster and back (about 15miles), but it is a start.
BN The beta blockers definitely have an effect - I just can't 'put the gas down'. Try to push, put in effort and there is just nothing there. It's like a vehicle speed limiter.
GN It felt good to ride anyway.
BN I broke something in the BB, which is one of these modern things. Don't have tools to fix it, bike going into shop on thurs.

GN: Got my camera back from the rozzers.

BN: The lens hood I bought for it is the wrong size. Hooter.

More GN: They want a statement from me (the rozzers, not the lens hood people).

Have you checked to see if there's anything new on the memory card?

GN (of sorts): I'm seriously considering re-starting my OU studies after about five years away from it.

BN: I've pretty much missed, or am at least right on top of, the deadline for registering for Autumn '15 modules.

BN: They've withdrawn the degree path I was studying towards.

GN: I can hopefully reuse quite a few of my previous modules on the replacement degree path.

Really BN: OU course fees have skyrocketed (part of why I stopped before). I'm looking at the pointy end of £6-7,000 for the four courses I'd need to do.

I'm going to ring them tomorrow to ask if I can wangle some kind of credit transfer to avoid the level one courses that've changed. I completed all of the level one and level two courses I needed on the old pathway, and really don't want to have to spend four grand and two years essentially repeating introductory material I've already passed.

After that, it's two more level three courses and then boom, second degree

More BN: the more I read about the OU's credit transfer options, the less optimistic I am. After ringing them this morning they're going to get back to me after they've assessed my previous OU modules to see exactly what I can apply to the new degree spec, but I think it's unlikely that they'll exempt me from any additional "intro" modules based on my previous degree (in an unrelated field).

If that's the case, I really don't know if I can justify the time and money it'd take to finish what is essentially a 'hobby' degree.

GN: After arriving in the Vendee to rain & force 8 winds (seems we got the tail end of a tropical storm) culminating in almost 48 hours of unrelenting precipitation. The rain has stopped, the puddles drained and the sun is almost visible through the cloud cover.

BN: We begin our homeward journey tomorrow.

I had the tail end of a Pcific hurricane on my holibobs last year.  New Mexico and Texas largely under water.  But it didn't manage to wipe the graffiti off the Mudstang.

GN: AFAIK chief graffiti artist Thomas van Schaik is not going to Battle Mountain this year, having recently moved to China.

BN: AFAIK Thomas van Schaik, a chap who could make $HUMOURLESS_GIT roffle helplessly, is not going to Battle Mountain this year.

BN: I took my v expensive platinum & diamond nose stud out before swimming and left it on the bedside table, and then when I went to put it back in it had vanished
