Pootling along the Chesterfield Canal
« on: 02 May, 2008, 11:54:45 pm »

Its an easy going path

Run-off/water by pass near one of the locks

It is compulsory for ALL canal boat dogs to wear neckerchiefs

There are LOADS of locks along this stretch - this isn't the only 'treble'

And along stretches of the towpath your sense of smell is almost overpowered by the wild garlic

Took the pomp along there a couple of weeks ago. How far up did you go?
Don't ask.

To the (bricked up) entrance of the Norwood Tunnel at Kiveton Park.  Its footpath only after that.
