Looking at the video on YouTube,  I see that braking was using cantis. I imagine he let air resistance do most of the slowing down!

Not sure the point of the multi-geared drivetrain and the tiny chainring.  Especially as he seems to have his legs horizontally behind him on the run.

He definitely wasn't pedalling. I still think Guy Martin is the winner, pedalling at 112.94mph.

That's only the BRITISH record, though.  Fred Rompelberg did 167.044 mph.
