Your /missed/ was a wise move.  The contestant scored 6.  It seemed a very tricky round.

I've said before, I only get the year when it's year of birth of childer. I did get one this week that was 'doing my o levels' but I didn't get either today.

I agree.  I got five in the ten seconds, and could have had loads more.  Odd that a band I don't particularly like made such a mark.  Mind you, I do wonder what makes a one hit wonder stick in the brain, when a band which had a number of hits have disappeared completely from memory.

Corker of a contest this morning - both participants got 33.  Tiebreak couldn't split them.

I lost. :(

TG, I think you are excused Champions League. ;D

This is getting seriously hard, and it demands a lot more concentration than I can perhaps give it.  Today's contestants got 44 & 48 respectively in this round (scoring is too complex to explain unless you really want me to go into it).  I got 11 & 22.  They've been impressive all week, but today's two have shot to the top of the leader board.  Astonishing knowledge.

I've had this for the last couple of weeks.

This weeks contestants are proof that anyone can win on the day, but getting 33+ means you know your stuff.

I got some of them right!

A lot of them are pretty tricky ones though. One of the ones I got was that it was Bruce Dickinson who sang Mott the Hoople's "All the Young Dudes," which you'd probably only know if you have the album. That's pretty specialist IMO. But I got it straight away. :smug:

Monday:
24/21/2

Today:
30/27/2

I thought the first set of bonuses were far too easy, but the second contestant certainly knew his stuff, even if he sounded like he was physically straining to get the answers out.  First Champions League entrant of the year?

Didn't quite catch today's questions as the sound of the radio kept being drowned out. By the sound of the dentist's drill.
