Impressive.  I only got 18 on the first set - didn't get any of the first 4 questions - then missed the rest.
I smashed it yesterday, though, got 27 on both sets and loads of Three in Tens (and I got the Gibb right).

I suspect that yesterday's (twixt Cox & Winkelman) was affected by minor shenanigans.

Called up Popmaster this morning, got through to the bit where the researcher asked me questions, absolutely smashed those, but haven't had the call back...  Not looking promising now- must try again some other day.

Got the call back today to the second qualifying round but, faced with two nails questions
Quote
1) The group A Taste Of Honey had a top 3 hit in 1978 with which song?
2) Besides Temptation, name any of the 1980s UK chart hits for Heaven 17
I didn't get either right and didn't get through.  Just as well, because I got 18/24/1 and got a thorough drubbing by both contestants...

1. Boogie Oogie Oogie
2. Very impressive, clarion, but (based on the premise that by far their biggest hit was a crock of sh1t) I bet they're all absolute sh1t too, so I'm not too dischuffed at not getting any of them.

I'll give the collective a heads-up if I happen to get through in the future.

Good luck for future.  Boogie Oogie Oogie, indeed!  Who should be forced to dredge that dreck from their memory?

And I won't have a word said against Heaven17!  They're from Sheffield, you know ;)
