Depends on which area of the country you are intending to visit if you want specific sites.
I have toured the West Coast end to end and the South East corner and found most campsites to be okay with one notable exception. The one by the river at Carrick-on-suir is the pits. All showers and wash basins were broken or cracked. Toilet looked as though they hadn't been cleaned for days. Anto (jags of CTC forum) and me stayed there at the end of a tough cycling day and couldn't face another 20 miles along a busy road to the next nearest one. It was so bad he was packing up at 4.00am next morning, he couldn't get away fast enough.
