Firefox can't find the server at www.robshields.org.

You've really got to do something about that server rob... :-\
Actually, it is rocket science.

It's probably dropped out of DNS again. It looks fine from here as I have an entry in my hosts file :thumbsup:

Code: [Select]
$ host www.robshields.org
Host www.robshields.org.lan not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
You have new mail in /var/mail/rshields

I did post that back on page 1. 'Spose I should have sent a PM orra Ping.

I missed that, but thanks.

Edit: I see what it is now, dyndns have deleted my account *again*. You have to update the IP address every so often, I think (I read 35 days). My router probably just updates it when it changes. Have recreated my account now. I think I'll write a script to update the IP every couple of weeks.

Should be working now:
Code: [Select]
$ host www.robshields.org
www.robshields.org is an alias for robshields.dyndns.org.
robshields.dyndns.org has address 90.195.168.30

:thumbsup:

I'm glad to see a propensity for pink piglets amongst some of those desktops :)

I also have one on my desk.  Pictures to follow.

Edit:

picures:

Quite tidy today, for once.

The bigger picture, showing my small furry Office Assistant in place - or at least in a place that isn't my keyboard :)

Y'see, this is the stuff we really need to know.  The important stuff.  :)

We have one somewhere around who squeeks in outrage when you squeeze his snout.

Going well, mon ami

I still use it as my main workhorse machine.  It only complains when the cat sits over the exhaust vent :)

Good stuff.

My cat used to love doing that too, since it produces so much heat. He's not nearly as happy with my thinkpad X60s with its low power CPU. ;D

Here's my desk, as tidy as usual:

I must admit that not all of the monitors are currently in use. A couple of them will be disposed of shortly.
