This fine example was spotted by Marc Cunnington on Valley of the Rocks 2010 (http://yacf.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=33039.0) (between Crediton and Honiton), and forwarded on to me to share with the yacf bus shelter appreciation society.

It's not the most aesthetically pleasing, but it's provided a cool haven for many a hot and knackered cyclist plodding back up the Tourmalet to Bareges after a long ride out. Especially my Dad, for whom it has a shrine-like status. ;)

There is a typical wooden-shed without front wall bus shelter at Sudbury(Derbyshire) almost enclosed by the hedge & vines.I use it to measure time/distance on one of my routes as well as a nibble/sip stop.

... the now world famous hamsters. These hardy rodents stuck it out in the Bus Shelter the whole summer and won the hearts of many a passing tourist. They were fed the odd curry and instead of a bland water bottle, they were spoilt with a bottle of genuine Unst beer, Auld Rock. This may have partially explained their almost total lack of movement throughout the summer.

Not far from the other one you posted at Grafton Underwood either. Such a shame that these two fine examples are only about 10 miles from my home.
Do you have any photos of those ones north of Lincoln? You know the ones on the top of the ridge. Back in the day, around the mid 1990s, they used to even have hanging baskets outside, but they seem to be left to ruin now. The gutterring is coming off of one of them.

If you happen to be riding through Goombungee in Australia, there is a very pleasant and beautifully maintained shelter with tables and benches and water tap in the reserve in the middle of the very wide main street. The general store also makes the best toasted sandwiches.
