What do people use?  Normally I use a combination of metoffice/BBC/yr.no

However found this https://www.ventusky.com/  recently.  Great graphics and pretty comprehensive too.

The BBC one is good enough, but you need to look at the cloud cover map, the "headline" forecast is too vague as it covers a huge area. The map would be better if it had hourly intervals though.

Ive used xcweather.co.uk for ages, particularly for wind , I've recently started looking at Ventusky, which is pretty , but I find interpreting the colours a bit hit and miss sometimes, but it does seem to give a decent general overview, mostly though, I find the Dark Sky app  really accurate for location based forecasts.  For example it last night it forecast snow here from 6.00am until 7.30am. Snow started just after 5.30 and stopped a bit after 7.00.

I like proper BRITISH weather forecasts from the Met Office (I find it tends to be a bit pessimistic about precipitation, which is exactly what a cyclist wants).  Unfortunately their website is a bit rubbish and their app doubly so.  It gets a bit tedious turning my fondleslab on its side to check the forecast.

Also use meteox.com for seeing what the weather's actually doing so I can form my own opinion.

+1

The 3 main views all give a useful, different granularity.

For guessing the rainfall in the next couple of hours, I add in a look at raintoday.co.uk (free version - I very much doubt that their "forecasts" tell me anything new that is actually reliable ).

I've just looked at ventusky - like a lot of modern sites it looks GORGEOUS, but really that level of info is irrelevant (given how low accuracy is) and I cant actually read what it is telling me quickly-n-easily. Which leads me back to ole favourite yr.no ...

(not everyone processes visual data the same of course)

I use weather underground, you can pick up the airport weather forecasts, website is a bit clunky though.

I also use yr.no, though my opinion of it went down for a while when I chose Lewes, Delaware by mistake.

I use the Met Office which I like and is quite reliable.   mllePB uses something else which accurately predicts when rain is due.   It's really uncanny how accurate it is.

I'll try and find out what it is called.   She has it on her fondlephone.

http://www.weather-forecast.com

I have used the latter for a while, did very well as we travelled around the world. I didn't get it wrong many time no matter how remote we were.

The othe one is pretty darn good, one of the lads who do the weather there used to do a very good local farcebook one to us which was bang on many times. The lad is now based in Scotland and we are not.

When I opened Windytv it was centered on Northampton. Rather spooky, I thought, as sites always misread my location, then realised that I'd allowed a cookie for ventusky. Seems that "...which is the same as ventusky but different." is more than I'd thought. It is a bit easier to use, especially on dates.
