Very sad. He suffered from dementia for the last 4 years, apparently.

RIP Terry.  You can rest proud that - of three films banned in Ireland - you were director of two of them :-D

Yup - I'm sure I'm far from the second in reality - very very far ;)


Just been reading his obituary, I'd forgotten about his historical stuff, I did like that very much.  I still occasionally use at term he coined (I presume) 'business-wench' - he was a big advocate of addressing the writing out of history of women.
