Bought a case of limited edition Durham Brewery Imperious in the summer of last year. It was a special as it had been stored in a whisky cask. The brewer reckoned it would be fully developed for this Christmas but unfortunately there are only three left.

I guess it must be a success as they're now doing an imperial stout called Redemption which is stored in whisky casks.

I wouldn't think you'll want more than one of those, as it's very jammy

I haven't even though about Christmas food/drink yet

So far, 4 bottles of Adnams Broadside. It was on special offer in Waitrose. Hopefully, the Fullers 1845 will be on special offer before Christmas. That really is very special stuff.

If you don't mind slumming it, Tesco and Morrisons have 1845 in their 4 for £6 offers on a regular basis...

True. It has to last into Boxing Day.

Found an online offer for some Goose Island at £1 per can, vs the £1.85 in wait rose, so a case of various of those is on the way.

I think that after today's grim reveal I might need to pilfer my barley wine stocks early as an urgent anaesthetic. Nurse, nothing less than 14% stat.

Bin day today.  My blue glass bin was packed carefully to hold a few more than the just throwing bottles in method. Not quite enough. When the man came I quickly grabbed the bin half filled again and chased the bin man up the road.  He had stopped.  It was not just me his big blue bin was full and he was waiting for the lorry before he could service the rest of the street.

Some of the barleywine was tackled, but the bottle of barrel-aged Strongman remains unmolested for now. As it turned out, we were out more than anticipated, and a 750ml bottle was a bit too much to appeal as a night-cap. We quaffed the Pirate Noir though (basically, rum-barrel aged Even More Jesus imperial stout).

8 Gouden Carolus Christmas
2 Kappitel Watou Winter

Morriston were doing 8 cans for £10 of various decent beers like Vocation Life and Death and New World Hazy. Got loads. Mind you, I've still got a case of Corona and a case of Singha from the summer.

I got most of those, from Beers of Europe by delivery. I normally ride up and meet Mrs PC there to load up the car but not this year. I only have 2 bottles of Westveleteren 12 left, saving those for a special day though.   ;D

Tesco have got various four-packs on 2 for £9 at the moment, including a few Vocation and Northern Monk. I’ve been quite enjoying the Vocation Hop, Skip & Juice lately. Especially at that price.

From my local microbrewery. Their West Coast IPA is a current favourite, with the Double IPA making suggestive gestures and saying "D'ye think y' hard enough?"

The individual can prices are less steep when you consider that a 24 purchase is 30% less.

A couple of cases from Howling Hops, Pressure Drop, and Verdant are sitting in the porch. And some random selections. I don't think we're destined to run short over the holiday period.
