Now surely everyone knows roughly 10,000 kids are killed riding bicycles every year....

Interesting to see there's a link to ROSPA on the site - how safe is it to have the bike suddenly stop with the kid not realising it's about to happen?

  If you need to slow them down, give 'em panniers. Why on earth do kids need stopping anyway? Stopping suddenly in the middle of a roundabout is not really a very good idea. And they're advertiding illegal activity - riding on pavements in their promotion video. If they're not responsible enough to know when to stop they're not responisble enough to be riding a bike. 

It might be good having one for my Dad though when he goes racing off ahead !

Oh they're no problem - I overtook a couple today.  It's the other ones keeping them stopped

Well, I think it's a good idea.

All pavement cyclists, like the kids in the vid, should be stopped in this way. I have resort to sticking a brolly in the front wheel and am looking forward to the widespread introduction of this technological marvel as I am ruining a lot of umbrellas.
