Well I've been pushing Grunhilda in a forwards direction, for close on 500 km in just over 2 weeks, and today, my legs were aching, .....a lot....thee bits between the knees and the hips, ( recumbent legs?) . Any way , on a flat ish 55km, with some wind, and 3/4 round some roadies passed, but not quickly, and said 'hello' and thought hmmmmmm..... so I upped my pace................
I know folks have said that the SM is NOT a fast bike,despite being a recumbent, but that doesn't seem to have registered anywhere yet. Anyway I gave chase, and for about 5 miles , into the wind ( I thought I had the advantage),and up a slight continious gradient, and I have never breathed so hard on a bike. They turned off, and by the time I got home I was fubared. But My legs really hurt............BIG TIME. guess I'll have a day or two off now. Does it get any easier?
