A fair bit of my work (around 15 - 20 years ago) was very much inspired and driven by Giger.
Tomes of his work still adorn my bookshelves.
(Bookshelves, young people. How quaint is that?)
He stood out from the rest.
EDIT - Actually there was no 'rest' - he just stood out, with the bio-mechanical / robotic / sexual thing.
Like none before him.
Or anyone since.
