PBP 2023 Jerseys from around the world
« on: 26 April, 2023, 01:18:26 pm »
The official event jersey. Not bad, but can't hold a candle to the artwork on paris-brest-paris.org

Modelled by some random dude  ;D

The Dutch design. I think it's lovely.

India, probably (I hope not, IMO their 2019 jersey was much nicer)

USA, very clean (abstract of Eifel tower and the ocean waves I guess?)

Australia; I treasure their iconic 2019 jersey that I swapped, this one leaves me cold.

Please post more if you find any!

USA jersey is very reminiscent of the 2019 official jersey, same abstract Tower, same abstract waves, similar colour scheme.

agree India and Australia are not as good as last time.

Love the Dutch Jersey

I haven't bothered with getting Audax Oz or AUK PBP jerseys for perhaps a decade. I wasn't impressed by the Oz PBP19 jersey. Any event jersey that needs a paragraph to explain what the design means is a failure.

I only wear jerseys that I have earned during the event (historical jersey excepted) or have swapped for at the finish but other folk differ.

This year's ACP jersey is really boring. The Netherlands have done a good job. RUSA and Audax Oz are ok but not great.

India’s looks like a load of sponsors and nothing more.

Definitely, I would only wear that if they paid the flight from India to France for me.

I think it's their regional / affiliated cycling clubs, but yeah, looks cheap.

Kind of thing you'd find in Lidl. I'd wear it, no problem.
If you're going to do cheap and tacky, might as well do it properly...lol
On the outside chance I'm there, might see if I can get one.
It would sit nicely along side my Adrian Sands shirt

Dutch one is cool. Bit too stylish for me though.

Why do ACP always go for this kind of neutral, safe, boring style of shirt? Goodness sake. More razzmatazz and a walk on the wild side is needed! Surely?

Official one looks nice though it seems to flit between navy and royal blue in the pics posted.  I quite like navy blue (as a Scot) but royal is more French.

I like the fact that its not got oversize images on it - lighthouses, Eiffel Tower etc.

can't understand why the return route is missing on the Loudeac/Carhaix/Brest section, as there seems to be a return route shown between Mortagne au Perche and Rambouillet on the official jersey

agreed, my first thought was so many sponsors, then assumed it was all their audax clubs in India. looks dodgy, but I can see how people might like to see their own club logo on there, maybe.

Any word on if/when there will be an AUK Jersey available?

That was mentioned by various French riders. The design on the photo's is as was presented during the PBP presentation in january. So it's very well possible that it's adapted by the time we receive them in august.

We have a provisional design and it was discussed at the recent board meeting, so something is happening

A few more I found trawling the interwebs:

Sweden

Brasil

Japan

Korea

Haven't seen a "must have" to swap yet. The Korean one is nice and clean though (I like the downward extension of the collar on the front, gives a subtile asian slant to the design IMO)

Past Swedish, Danish and Norwegian PBP jerseys tended to use the same design but in their national colours.

It that's more colourful the earlier ones must have been done by an undertaker.
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

2015 was white with black. 2019 was black with white.

and another view of Oz Jersey, there has been considerable heated "discussion" over the years (as heated a discussion can be over a cycling jersey) between darker "fashionable" colours and the brighter more "visible" ones.

is it just me, or is it just the 2019 jersey with the "Rosbiff"s strapline removed? (also no blue option)

It reminds me of the Audax England one from 2011.

I might consider it when Audax UK decides to let non-FaceAche folk know about this.
