Not funny, but pretty unusual to see these days.  I haven't seen one for years now.

This one was spotted in Moor Street Station.

Admission.  I'm actually not that fussed about cake.

After I'd left Charly-sur-Marne, it was pointed out to me that the town has a street whose name could raise a titter to English speakers. I've checked on streetview, and indeed it does.

This one's for crusty (and only about 8 months late):

Not so much the sign itself which is silly, but rather it's situation. Spotted this gem on the TPM while skirting around the millennium dome:

I clocked that a few months ago and did wonder why they'd done that to all the signage that's adjacent to the blue fence.

The blue fence went up when the O2 became an Olympic venue - the mesh is such that you cannot put your fingers into it should you want to climb it.
Conversely, were you to shin up the adjacent sign post, you'd be able to get over the blue fence with relative ease - hence the sign post has the fenced-in treatment.

For many years, I've been hoping that there was a Rue de Remarque somewhere in France, but Google Maps says not so.

Apple might differ... ;D

There is a Belcher's Street in Hong Kong. I used to know a Belcher family in Stroud who had a photo of it in their kitchen.

I like that you think any of your conveyances might qualify as "a disguise".

Presumably there was originally a no overtaking sign above :)

There is but someone's turned it round, hence the "end" sign which should be facing the other way. The same at the other side of the bridge as well, what a sense of humour those Bangor students have!

Not particularly silly, but not sure I'd want to put it on application forms.
