Nothing silly about that.  I imagine it's like a small-scale version of what happens if you park your car under a sausage tree.
Indeed. I don't know what a sausage tree is, but palms of most species are prone to shedding branches without provocation.

You are absolutely correct. However the chance of that tree shedding coconuts or palm fronds is, to be frank, rather small.

Seen on an ambulance on the way in this morning. Who thought that was a good idea?

Maybe it's the Papal ambulance, and they forgot the "His" from the signwriting?

Doh, d'oh and dodo! I was so fascinated by the palm sausage that I totally overlooked the tree in the photo!

Haven't got a pic, but the name of a camp-site near Chambord translates as "Valley of Flux".
I've dusted off all those old bottles and set them up straight

Spotted this one years ago, but only got a photo last week. It's silly because it's not true.

I found this yesterday. A set of these have been installed on the new cycle path between Maryport and Allonby: -

Shame they couldn't have found the money to finish tarmacing the cycle path instead of having gravel sections ::-)
