I started a thread in the Racing section - figured it was "on topic"...

Amazing ride in the TP - they looked so smooth. Cav reckons there's more to come from them too.

Pendleton and Varnish AND the Chinese team were slapping WR's down like it was poker night at the Secret Squirrel Club.

High drama on the DQ.
It takes blood and guts to be this cool but I'm still just a cliché.

Was that a plan from the Aussies to rest the rider early in the team pursuit? HP suggested so, but it looked as though he just missed catching the slipstream.

They must be really disappointed. They know the rules though. At least they bloody well should!

At least Pendleton has other events. Poor Jess  :(
Those wonderful norks are never far from my thoughts, oh yeah!

I wasn't sure where to post it, tbh. We need a moderator adjudication!

Chinese female sprinters have been disqualified now, too. Bit of a crap way to decide a competition.

China relegated in final. Third-best team gets gold. Well done, man in blazer.

Pants isn't it? There has clearly been some inconsistency in this rule over the last few years. Sure - rules are rules, but don't wait until the 'lympics until you start enforcing them  ::-)

Just seen on twitter:

Team GB are so fast in the cycling because they are used to having an Addison Lee vehicle two millimeters from their rear tyre

Not sure Hoy's a hoomin.  Let's hope he doesn't get DQ'd for being too fast.

Hoy was pushing a noticably bigger gear than Kenny. Guess he has time to wind it up before his final lap...
