I'm up visiting the elderly (85/90) parents, and have recieved this visit's tech task.
They have aquired a Bose sound bar, courtesy of $unavailable brother, and want it connecting to their existing TV -
a Sony Bravia KDL-37P55.
The sound bar has inputs for optical or HDMI ARC.
My reading of the manual (linked above) is that the only audio out is L/R audio on phono plugs, and that the 3 HDMI ports are input only.
Am I right that they are onto a loser?
Is there any converter/cable that would take the L/R audio and send it to the HDMI port in the sound bar?
