Will we be once again making use of ted's underground car park which I seem to recall was in a land far, far away.

I'd be ok bringing a 'gbfo' lock to Admiral's Park - and riding my shopping bike. Penelope/Elephant Bikes anyone?

Maybe!  I could possibly ride Penelope to Chelmo via a fairly direct route.

As it happens, I was going to bring my commuter too, even before I saw this, equipped with at least 3kg of MR ABUS'S FINEST GERMAN STEEL.

(Also, the gear indexing on that bike needs adjusting, so I'll be handing it over to AndyC333333333333333333 when we arrive there ;) )

Well,  a traffic cone already has an orange face, but how are you going to manage the hair?

Meeting at Admiral's Park at 21:00?...In keeping with the utility-bike theme, I shall be in civvies.

With camping chair, picnic rug...maybe.

Me and Penelope will start off from Spa Rd roundabout at 7:30 and take it from there, not sure how we will get to the Beer Fest for 9pm but we'll get there.

Depending upon how time goes today I may join you awheel at the roundabout or I may simply train/walk it to the beer festival.  I seem to be the only one with an early start to London on Thursday morning so I could do with not too late a depart after sampling only a moderate volume of beer  :-\
If bomb proof bikes are to be ridden, how about a fairly direct route to Chelmsford and arrive closer to 8:30?

Beer list etc:

http://cbcf.info/

Not sure a 21:00 start does justice to the volume of beer opportunity presented, but perhaps kinder on the liver!  :D

There's an app!  https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.beerfestbuzz.chelmsfordsummer2016

I notice from the list that Round Tower brew a beer called "North Hill"

Yep - saw that too, though it's a golden beer so probably hoppy.... but I might be able to live with a half of that :)

Doesn't count as an ascent unless you have a pint... a half would be like turning round at The Rodney!

I'm going for the long view here :)  There's untapped bounty a-plenty :D

App is great - I might suggest they integrate in to untapped at some point :)
