Axe and Compasses is ok for me, about 23 miles for the route-check with some COR, so I'll probably be along around 21:00.

By the time Howdee and I arrived at the Axe and Compasses, the overcrowding had eased and we moved to a more spacious pair of tables, with the Family Duggan + severely depleted Witham Peloton (BFC).
At chucking-out time I passed the Black Lion and saw the three breakaway Westerners bikes, so called in for a quick social, before we all headed home.

Are we all going to meet up at the Maldon Beer Festival next week or will there be splinter groups again?  :-\
