Title: Should peat free compost be all big bits of wood and stones?

Have got a bag of 125l of compost and seems to be all fiberous with stones is that right?

I would have thought not. I occasionally finds stones in the stuff I use, but not very often.
The texture varies greatly between brands; some are very fibrous, some finer.

Arse, 125l is really big and heavy.  Off to moan at B&Q

Have found lumps of clay and bits of electrical cable.

The brand is verve from B&Q

REcent years the difference between decent and crap compost has widened, doesn't mean it won't work.
