Cateye MC 100 wireless fault.
« on: 25 May, 2020, 02:24:18 pm »
The last three times I have ridden the bike this odometer(?) hasn't worked but when I lift the front and spin the wheel it does.
It has new batteries and the magnet is set correctly. As the wheel spins I can hear the sensor clicking.
Any ideas what mightt be wrong, please?

Interference from some other electrickery?

Could the mid drive motor interfere then? I hadn't thought of that.
I'll put it in the work frame today and test.

Not a disaster if it is. The control panel has trip and total distance and it seems my watch does average speed, calories used and things I don't need to know.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks Kim. You were right.
I set off with the meter working and the power to the motor off. As soon as I turned it on the meter went to zeros.

I get trip and total distance covered from the motor's control panel so that's enough information.
Cheers.
