Lesson learnt.
Never show anybody your secret trails.
Showed a small group, only two or three, my secret trail last summer. Twisty single track through the woods over the top of the hill, crosses the main path and then gets faster, open land, over some small rollers, more single track through the trees and then a final fast rutted path down to the lake and on to the popular board walk trail. Twas a lovely trail that I'd been using for years and never noticed another person on it until I showed it to them.
Went down it yesterday for the first time in several months.....parts of it were like a six lane MTB super-highway mud bath
Why oh why didn't I keep it to my self?
