Virgin email should work fine with Outlook 2010.

Don't forget that you will need to change the advanced settings because virgin no longer uses the standard SMTP and pop3 ports.

SMTP port needs setting to 465
pop3 port 995
and if you use IMAP then its port 993

SMTP is also authenticated so don't forget that as well.

All of the info you might need is on the Virgin page here

Thanks , but I had done all that and then a call to virgin who checked and then informed that they have a problem with 2010.

When I swapped ISP recently I moved to Gmail.   I browse it online rather than download.   I think I'll stay online rather than hassle with downloads for now as I do not have the need for downloading.   Do Virgin have an online email client you could simply use whilst browsing?

Since all other mail clients works it seems rather that Outlook 2010 has an issue :)
I think you'll find it's a bit more complicated than that.

It would seem to have been an outlook 2010 issue as I have got hold of a gratas copy of 2003 and it works fine.

Thanks Rich
