Brand new event as Audax events return to Shropshire on Sunday 7th April 2024.
Come and join us for 100 or 200km of Shropshires finest quiet roads. Community building start and Arrivee with toilets, free parking, refreshments and hot food at the end.

200k is open now as below, 100k will open in a few days.

Looks good to me.  May enter the 200k but with another event from Stourport the day before and another one week later from Crewe will have to think about it at the moment.

Great to see new events in the area again though and really do hope they are well attended.

Lots of publicity will certainly help and maybe a mention in the next Arrivee.

Jason.  The route looks great. Depending on diaries, I will place on entry. I very familiar with the southern section but not the northern half.

Entered. This looks to tick a lot of boxes for me, not least an opportunity to scout the area north and south of Shrewsbury for potential house move.  The maps and profiles suggest quite different terrain in the two halves.  Second tick is to give me a sighter on how my preparation for chasethesun (north) is going, still affording some time to remedy any shortfall hopefully

Probably, if you are happy riding 200k.  As the route almost comes back to Shrewsbury half-way, you could bail out if it's getting too much, but be aware that the second half is a bit lumpier than the first. Personally I'm greatly looking forward to it, having never visited south Shropshire before.

I have entered now

I am doing the Sunrise Express first (my first ever audax) - 24 Feb = 100k, so this should be a good follow up.

I live nearby - so some familiarity.

I would hate to bail out
