We have a Woolly & a Peli in our spare room, jet-lagged but all present and correct.

The Cats formerly known as Crinkly appear to be settling in to their new life of luxury (which seems to include knees/shoulders to sit on, significant ear-tickling and stroking, soft furnishings that they are allowed to moult on without getting sworn at, quite possibly the opportunity to snooze on actual beds, and hooman beans who actually remember to feed them cat treats) rather well.  This is A Good Thing.

I think I might have found my mojo

Granted, this epiphany might have occurred whilst pushing my bike through a snowdrift into a howling headwind but I'm still going to count it as a win ....

... once I've dried out. I think I've got rising damp.

It's probably lying beside the road just outside Danby Wiske.
I very much doubt that the snowdrift where I found mine is there now (blizzards when we left Northallerton last night, followed by torrential rain by the time I got back to York)

Well it's taken forever, and even included an architect flying back from Thailand to do assess the property and issue a certificate, but I assuming there are no more hiccups I move into my new house on the 8th March :D

To show how long it's been, the mortgage offer has a 6 month validity period, and would run out 5 days after I move in.

A former colleague had long awaited lung transplant on Sunday (pulmonary fibrosis).
He's apparently now off oxygen, has his colour back and has his annoyingly loud voice back :-)

*grins* at AndrewC, hurrah for your colleague, I'm told lung transplants are pretty amazing in terms of immediate improvements.  I hope his recovery continues to go well!

Pretty minor after that but I get to ride to work in the Sun for the second day running, feels strange without out my waterproof leggings   :)

Thanks, he looked awful last time he came in. Like a skeleton wearing an oxygen tank across his back.  He took early retirement to look after his disabled wife and then began to have trouble breathing, so hopefully this will give him a new lease of life.

i may have less than 30 days left to work. Ever again.
Besides, it wouldn't be audacious if success were guaranteed.

At the risk of attracting more YACFers to tomorrow night's social ride.

Mrs T is busy baking cakes :)

Coffee Mocha cake *may* be involved.

A man came to visit me this afternoon. As a result of this encounter I may end up considerably poorer financially but may have a rather better quality of life, once the downstairs shower is fixed, the granny annexe bog is fixed, the guttering is fixed, something is done about the damp, the upstairs bathroom is completely renovated and most of the house is decorated...

The dentist gave me a white filling on the front of one of my canines yesterday.  This particular tooth was damaged in a teenage cycling accident and has been rather unsightly ever since.  Finally, after twelve years I have a full set of white teeth at the front  ;D

Woolly and I had a trip into Leeds today for tea and cake with a certain well-travelled cycle tourer named Emily!

We are celebrating the last day of the holidays by still being in jammies in the afternoon.
