chapeau indeed, to Pete.  That's a very good swim!

He was very pleased, the pros did it in 55'ish minutes and he was expecting 1:20. Would have been a better overall but he got some hamstring cramping midway through the ride - and hit the wall halfway thru the marathon. He called tonight and was still made up, the US spectators were terrific. Oh, and Chrissie Wellington the triple World Ironman champion from the UK (she was sick for this years Worlds) was competing, broke the world record by 14 minutes, and borrowed the Union flag Petes partner had at the line to celebrate (Petes arrival somewhat later) with, then signed it for them.

Given that your profile map says you're in Barcelona, I'd say it definitely is! ;)

Toronto currently 'feels' warmer than London. And I'm spending more time here than here at the moment that's good.

Fabulous. Have fun.

We had a night away at the Leeds/Bradford airport Travelodge last weekend.
Sounds like much the same thing.
Are you taking your own weetabix?

Just picked up a parcel for my girlfriend from the post office as we were out when they tried to deliver.

When I got in she told me to open it. She's only gone and bought me a Kindle out of the blue as I'm been umming and ahing about one for a while.

And she says it's not to be taken as a Christmas pressie as we'd agreed we weren't doing them this year and that I don't need to get her anything in return.

She is quite a lovely  ;D

Do you need that translated into what she really means? ;)

Thanks all for the best wishes.

Yes it have been a hard one, especially my mum who have had it herself, as my dad got sick with TB while on his second "nuking" so they had to cure that before they could continue with curing the big C.

The only side effect, is that the "nuking" has killed of his feeling to his feet. So he can't feel if he is standing on something, so walking and get up from a chair is hard.

But else he is tip top :)

My kids are here at the mo. Just listening to music. Son (25) requested Led Zep. I fancied hearing something else first. Daughter (24) correctly identified my choice of 'The Power Of Love' by FGTH within 2 seconds. I think I brung them up ok.
