So after about 6/7 months of not being able to ride a bike, the doc told me today I might be able to ride again soon :D yay!!!
Going to Nottingham again are we ?

Great news my friend.

I doubt I'd be able to ride into work without dying atm :(

This week I passed 6500 miles on my Thorn.

That's about ⅓ of the cost of it in saved petrol, or all of it at 40p per mile.

I hope you have as much pleasure from your Thorn as I've had from mine, Gus.

So <xxxx> rang up just now to tell me what he thought I should do with the money and complained when I didn't agree.  huh.  no major change there.

After suffering the loss of finishing reading Homicide by David Simon and struggling through two crime books that left me feeling as though I would never again enjoy another crime novel again, such was the brilliance of Simons book, I found Sniper One by Sgt Dan Mills in WHSmiths this morning and have been furtively reading at my desk.

I'm at work today.
My next day at work will be the 5th January 2009.

I also be staying as far away from computers in that period.

I'll send a postcard from here though.
