The Cambridge Autumnals 200 + 100 – Sat 17 October 2020
« on: 03 October, 2020, 10:17:52 am »
After what seemed like forever, we are so happy to be back on our long-distance bikes, collecting points!  The Audax UK season has been extended by a month to 31 October and so The Cambridge Autumnals appear for the second time in the current season

Autumn is a great time to celebrate the end of one and the start of another Audax UK season by getting out on the winter bike and putting away some miles!

The Cambridge Autumnal 200 is an autumnal adventure that takes you exactly due east across the gently rolling Suffolk landscape via the old towns of Newmarket, Bury St Edmunds and Debenham to the historic castle-and-market town of Framlingham for lunch, and returning via Maglia Rosso bike-café.

The Cambridge Autumnal 100 loops around the Chiltern-esque foothills south of Cambridge, with brunch in Thaxted, lunch in Saffron Walden, and home in time for tea.

The New Normal of audax events is now car-park start, postal finish, x-rated, and that's the only way we can run these events without reams of extra paperwork and PPE-headaches, so that's what we're doing.  On the plus side, GPS validation is also available for the ultimate no-touch experience!

Both events are filling fast, entries opened a few minutes ago, so if you're thinking about entering then it's time to do so to avoid disappointment.
Lockdown lethargy. RRTY: wot's that? Can't remember if I'm on #8 or #9 ...
