I wonder if you've conflated a couple of Fry and Lauries.

Here they are, spoofing Robert Robinson (but not the families).

Fry & Laurie were the first thing that came to mind for me. I'm sure they did other Robert Robinson-based sketches besides that one.

Magnus Magnusson is Icelandic for Robert Robinson. Trufax.

I'm treating myself tonight.

Pork chop with Stilton and sage, accompanied by roast veg, roast tomatoes and steamed chard.  All washed down with a bottle of La Bacca (100% Nerello Mascalese from Sicily).

Today I are mostly learning that Marmalade Atkins and Francis Urquhart are both creations of the strange head-branez of Andrew Davies.

Wasn't Francis Urquhart from the brain of Michael Dobbs?   Davies did the TV adaptation but the character is almost identical to Dobbs' book.

A couple of hairy shield bugs making little hairy shield bugs yesterday. They appear to be holding hands. How romantic.

You’d think that people shagging on campsites would remember how well sound travels at night….

Have you taken a wrong turn and ended up at The Barge Inn?
You'd never hear anyone shagging at the Barge Inn over the bongos.
