June 1st and yes the heating came on this morning. Courtesy mainly of a brisk northerly hitting the gable end of our end of terrace cottage.

I made sure the heating came on for my Mrs this morning. A small comfort to make her feel loved and mollycoddled.

I'm trying very hard to resist the temptation to put the heating on.

It's fscking cold. One of the riders on the 600k Audax we ran at the weekend recorded 5°C during the night.

It's June. This is crazy cold.

My heating responds only to temperature, not time of year. It is definitely on right now. Most rooms are set at a 12 -16C level during the day, the whole house at a minimum of 12C during the night.

Overnight temp outdoors has been below 4C most nights, with a strong N/NW wind, so the heating does come on in the mornings.

I'm realising that it is not short sleeved shirt time.
It is simpler than it looks.

I'm rethinking cancelling my Zwift subscription! Too cold outside, and riding Zwift is cheaper than turning the heating up...

Hasn't gone below double figures at night here, but neither has it gone above 20 in the day. Short sleeves at night, long in the day.
