Title: Forked Off
Post by: Wal on 09 June, 2020, 11:14:24 am
Hi Folks...

Trying to source a fork for my Ridgeback Horizon 2009-10

Alu frame, carbon fork, was looking to get a steel touring fork, so I could, yes, tour, with panniers, but any steel fork will do now... Carbon would be my second choice, but if so, something beefy and solid...

The Horizon has calliper brakes, I assume a steel fork with an alu frame is ok?

If you know where I can pick up a fork for this bike, that would be helpful at this time, I can then get out for a ride...

Cheers, W...

Yes you can use a steel fork with an alu frame.  Alternatively, lose the front panniers  ;D

Thanks Karla, good to know! I have never really liked the carbon fork.
