BROL and BROL classifieds

It's a shame that BROL is so crashy.  Why is that?

Also, dipped my toe in the classifieds section at BROL, but wouldn't recommend - both contacts I have had through there have presented as scammers.  One I reckon was legit in the end (though didn't actually have what I wanted to buy), but inability to write in English is v worrying.

I believe it's an old version of vbulletin software running on an old box rather than on current software hosted in the "cloud". The site has been dying a slow lingering death for some time through neglect. There have been some suggestions to adopt this as the new "go to", http://www.recumbentriders.org/forums/

Bryan was waylaid by Covid and also has a wee one demanding his attentions, but he was working with Doug Davis to sort out the forum's software.  The http version is buggy; the https version is much more stable now.

I've bought two bikes and a tailsock from BROL sellers.  They were all true to their word.

Lot of familar names on RRI, though.

Could just be my n=1 sample.  Both contacts had posted zero times on BROL and the second couldn't really communicate in English.
