Writing with a piping bag is really hard. It's almost impossible not to end up with a serif font.

My cake is now fully decorated. 3 layers of royal icing, one layer of marzipan, a ring of piped shells top and bottom, a nice red ribbon, and happy Christmas written in the sort of all caps hand writing any 5 yr old would be proud of.

I hope the cake inside tastes ok.

Same writing as RED RUM from The Shining.
Hard work sometimes pays off in the end, but laziness ALWAYS pays off NOW.

It's iced and ready to eat, but I'm stuffed to the gills already.

Yes, this year as many, we won't get around to eating the cake for several days. Luckily they keep for ages

Lt. Col. Larrington (retd.) was given a gargantuan (and uniced) CAEK by Shirley the Carer.  Label indicates it came from Costco.  We're doing our best with it but at best we're only going to be halfway through before the Prof, the Doc and I all bugger off on the 27th.
