Interviewed on Radcliffe & Maconie's show 1 May 2012 1300-1600.  Starts about 1430.

I'm listening now, and, while I knew he had played on an awful lot of hit records, they keep mentioning more & mor eof all sorts of styles.  If I hadn't known of him before, I'd have thought it was a spoof.  To have done Hurdy Gurdy Man, Kung Fu Fighting, Lou Reed, Shakin' All Over etc, and not taken the opportunity to be in Led Zeppelin sounds too ridiculous a history to be true.

But he's an interesting, amusing, unpretentious person to hear.
Getting there...

Thanks for that, I will have to listen on iplayer.

He is a fascinating character and the tales he can tell are truly amazing. He played a conference I was working at many years ago and I agree, it sounds like a spoof when you hear he stuff he did. And much of it for only a few quid on the day.
Right! What's next?

Ooooh. That sounds like a daft idea.  I am in!
