OK I think I have it at 403.5km

HallChiddingstone Causeway TQ 51783 46560
 Golden Green TQ 63612 48260
Hall Peasemarsh   TQ 88428 23020
 Battle TQ 70801 12354
24hr Garage Lewes  TQ 42004 10539
Westmeston   TQ 33839 13629
Outwood Green   TQ 32685 45490
Hall Chiddingstone Causeway TQ 51783 46560  end lap 1 197.3km

Loose  TQ 75566 50810
Hall Sittingbourne  TQ 91128 63461
Hillborough TR 21110 68032
Aylesham TR 21800 50231
near Lympne TR12733 36201
Hall Bethersden TQ 92923 40270
Finish Hall  Chiddingstone Causeway TQ 51783 46560 Lap two 206.2km
Total 403.5km

My only concern is the distance between Sittingbourne and Bethersden and some faster riders will be in the night it could do with a 24hr garage for a feed stop or they carry bonk rations

I think the shortest route takes in motorways though doesn't it.

Andy Uttley hasn't answered his e-mail yet :'(

'Fraid not. I put in the route and checked it manually along its full length, tweaking a couple of roads.
Mapsource settings are for Bicycle only using minor roads preferentially.
No motorways, a few A roads, the rest B roads and lanes.
It also uses the B2027 between Sittingbourne and Faversham; the London (A) road is 600m shorter...
I can post a few couple of graphics of it or the route directions if you like.

The trouble is the original route riding on the road last year came out 20km over distance, at this rate I'll be organising a 600  ;D

Seems like it, doesn't it!
I must admit that all the rides I have planned around here using Mapsource have been pretty accurate so far. Maybe its a Kent/Sussex thing?   ;)

I have sent you a PM with the route directions generated by Mapsource if you are interested...

Mea Culpa
You are right.
Mapsource now makes it 10km over distance.
Sorry for any confusion  :-[

Yes. Working hours only, of course.

I have a couple of CDs to copy.
