Wow!

I mean.. I'm assuming you paid a Model Agency for their Fox to pose for portraits?

(you should Photoshop some Light Modifier reflections in its eyes to confuse people)
Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.

She was really alert, not too close, it was at the long end. She was close enough to not fully fit in the frame though ;D

I haven't posted here for a while but hopefully I'll be back soon.

Yesterday my son told me that he wants a 10 stop ND filter so he can take long exposure shots in strong daylight. When I was 13 I wouldn't have known an ND filter if one was thrown at me. Here he was yesterday:

Not today, but I'm working through the photos I took over the last couple of weeks on Eigg and Rum.  There may yet be a trip report, if I can magic up enough cycling content - in the meantime, this is my favourite so far.

Lovely tones in there.

You know, since I discovered the benefits of shooting RAW, I find it heartbreaking to look at some of my older, favourite, jpegs and realise what I lost out on by not utilising my camera's RAW function. (Assuming it's RAW of course, I guess you could have used HDR but the tones look too rich).
Some people say I'm self-obsessed but that's enough about them.

Thanks Lee.  It isn't HDR, no - I go for minimal post-processing.  I spend my entire working day in front of a computer, and the last thing I want to do with my leisure time is spend it likewise.

It is RAW though, since there was just too much distance between the direct sunlight on the bed and the suitcases in the shadows to get away with the jpeg.  I do, however, use jpeg's whenever I can, as I've found Fuji really do deserve their legendary status:  it always takes me quite some effort to achieve summat in Lightroom from the raw that I feel is as good as the jpeg straight out of camera, and I only do it in extreme cases like this one.

Maybe of interest to Bill - I bought the X-Pro2 as a bike camera. Tonight I've carried it in a bumbag for an easy run. It also seem to have replaced my digital Leicas...

Some jpgs from this evening - mostly iso3200 apart from looking downstream

The path no longer travelled - sooc classic chrome

View from the bridge - sooc acros yellow

Looking downstream - sooc acros yellow

Cow parsley and stump - bit of a tweak
