Was thinking of it, but will be leading a family peloton to watch the Women's Tour in Sudbury instead.

A few Hadleigh guys are doing it but I'm going to watch the women's tour come through then speed over to Hitcham to see them contest the QoM.

I had entered this to do my first 100 miles before the dates of the Women's tour were released. I would have loved to have gone to watch the tour otherwise. I rode in a group with that had some Hadleigh riders in during the Copdock Audax in April. Until one unlucky Hadleigh rider got a puncture on a little lane.

I made around the 103 mile course, battered by wind and rain in a moving time of 6hrs 57mins 58 secs. My overall time was 7hrs 55 mins. I'm really pleased to have completed my first century ride. I hadn't set myself any time target, just to get around. I'm very happy with finishing in under 8 hrs. I suffered numb fingers after about 80 miles, which I have never had before. I think I also need a change of saddle so I now have a brooks saddle to fit and break in.

Well done Colin. That's a fantastic time to do it in considering it was your first time and in challenging conditions too!!!

Did the Castle Ride yesterday (8th time!) and my time was around 7.5 hours. Knackering in the sun yesterday, with enough hills to die for (or on). One in particular that one can always count on bombing down, had a useless pointless top dressing of chippings, which we all had to gingerly negotiate.

Oh, and I managed to leave my bag of essentials: innertubes, pump, house keys, phone, map credit cards, driving licence, suntan lotion, all at home. Great. No punctures fortunately.
