For kids, or any good ones really?  (mini [8] is doing a project) We had a look at Nasa kids, and were a tad disappointed.  I was thinking there might be some nice interactive graphics or summat.

Phil Plait's Bad Astronomy blog is a regular source of good links.  Bad Astronomy | Discover Magazine

CrinklyLion:
Planet 10 is good fun.

I had a list somewhere, from teaching science to 10 year-olds (when I used to do such things :)) but don't know if I still have it - t'was all bookmarked on the old laptop... will have a rummage and see what I can turn up.
I do remember that they really liked the solar system trading cards on the amazing space site, which I think is the NASA kids site.. here: Directions to Collect Solar System Trading Cards

TimO:
The Astronomy Picture Of the Day virtually always has a stunning image on it.

Most of the sites I visit or use probably aren't going to be of interest to an eight year old, quite a few of the NASA websites for various missions do have public outreach elements which are clearly targeted towards school children, but possibly not that young (and frankly they often aren't all that good).
