I've been singing http://www.youtube.com/v/EdPB1Ymq_1Q&rel=1 all day, but I haven't been dancing like any of them. Groooooovy.

I am pleased to say that I have read through this thread and not one of the song titles mentioned is known to me. I can therefore continue to enjoy imagining Mozart's clarinet concerto being played.

Deeeeeedum, dee diddididdy-dum, dee-dum dee-dum deeeediddydum... (cont. K. 94)

It's the second theme that I get stuck with. Dodle diddle-diddle-diddle-diddle-deedum, Diddle-iddle-iddleiddleiddle-eedum, Dee-iddleeedum, Did-liddle-ey-dum, dideedum, dideedum, didum!
Not especially helpful or mature

What started off as a Neil Young song somehow mutated into "It's my party". Christ.

Couldn't shake that one off for days.

At least there's been no resurgence of grocer jack.

I won't post a link so as not to inflict this upon anyone else, but last night, flying up the deserted A12 at 2am on the motorbike, I had this chorus going round and round, as sung by my niece's nursery school:

Kookaburra Kookaburra sits on the old gum tree
Merry merry king of the bush is he
Laugh Kookaburra, laugh Kookaburra
Gay your life must be

Does anyone else suffer from geoEarWorms?

Whenever I go anywhere near Waterloo bridge/station, a certain Kinks song lodges itself firmly in my brains.

Whenever I do the Rural South audax (Hampshire), I have to put up with several hours of Winchester Cathedral.

I've been standing on a corner in Winslow, Arizona

I've also been to Benson, Arizona, with the warm wind in my hair.

The last one works on the Anafractuous also.

Whenever I cycle past the local 'cop shop' that's situated right next to the river, I always seem to
sing "Rivers of Babylon".

Myfriend Chris has made a website (and facebook app!) for getting earworms out - see brainvirusexchange.com. Very clever chap.

It's very much in beta - early stage at that- but good fun.
