Home made training vids
« on: 12 December, 2015, 02:21:24 pm »
I've had a go at putting a workout together, consider this a Beta. Basically, because I fancied something a little more mixed up than the goal oriented Sufferfest etc, sort-of in the style of Sufferfest.

The TR is here https://www.trainerroad.com/cycling/rides/2717690-Ham-s-Mixer - no idea how you can get to use it - maybe you have to download?

The vid is here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B43HODZpK1uqdk1MZGFiYWh3ak0/view?usp=sharing

Be interested in feedback if you give it a go. (NB - vid as yet has no instructions and depends on hte TR workout. Or you could just watch it for an hour.)

What is going on with the music? I had to make it stop.  :hand:

The work-out looks like it might be quite hard work. I am not sure how to load it in the TR app. Where'd you get the video?

TR have got quite a few work-outs that mix it up a bit, e.g.

So you don't appreciate my moosical  taste, then? That's 2.3Gb of download you won't get back  :P

Full track listing:
Canned Heat -  lets work together
Catatonia - Mulder & Scully
Marion - Sleep
Ramones - Blitzkrieg Bop
Balkan Beat Box = Blue Eyed Black Boy
The Doors - Love Me Two Times
Imelda May - Tainted Love
Willis - Paper and Stone
B-52's - Rock Lobster
Moby - Honey
Manu Chao - Me gustas tu
New Order - Regret
ZZ Top - Legs
Ojos de Brujo - Todos Mortales
Alvin - Lee - I'm Going Home
Maze - Joy And Pain
White Stripes - Seven Nation Army
Bowie -  Suffragette City
Led Zep - Heartbreaker
Origene - Sanctuary

Now that's what I call music, sorry. Got a lot of work to do getting the right music with the right piece, and not all of those tracks are "right".  I made the mistake of trying to drop the tracks into MovieMaker, but instead it is much better to use Audacity and add a single track to the movie.

I was intending for it to be hard, but not too hard, rather like Sufferfest. I think the overs/unders might be too much,  as I couldn't really do them this time I couldn't say. I was interested to see if/how you could use a custom workout, if/how they can be shared.

Where'd you get the video?

Videos are all off youtube, with my rather pathetic attempt at editing.

Have to try Gros Morne, but solomons looks harder than mine!

The intervals for me are to short, and the vid is pointless if it's not in sync with the intervals (I don't know as I only watch the first 10 second). I'd rather listen to some decent music or watch a programme of some sorts.

The vid at the moment is pointless as the sound is super cr@p - not sure what happened - I didn't check the mp3 export from audacity :(

Here's the file with fixed audio if YCBA https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B43HODZpK1uqdk1MZGFiYWh3ak0/view?usp=sharing

To be clear, the music is synched, but could be better with more time spent on it. In fact the whole thing could be better  :-\
