Can anyone tell me what these are ?  Growing alongside the canal in Edinburgh.  I've gone through both my flower identification books but failed to find a match.  They're about 30-60cm high.

It looks to me like stachys palustris, Marsh Woundwort.

The two Triffids yes, the rest were Table Mountain, Lions head and Jeffries Bay vicinities.
