Tune in to ITV4 or GCN tomorrow (Tuesday 6 Sept) at around 12:30 to see how much quicker the pros (without saddlebags, 1,000 km in their legs and 30C heat) can ascend Chapel Fell.

I was wearing my LEL2009 polo shirt today in honour of the race going rithrough Barnard Castle etc. Turns out one of ToB moto team was one of the motos out supporting us that year.

I hope to be wearing my volunteer T shirt as the race passes through Ventnor on Sunday.
Look out for me at top of the climb from the Esplanade.

There was also a short stretch of the 1989 & 1993 route yesterday, a bit of the A68 including Toft Hill.
