I use get_iplayer to grab (legally) TV shows and films from BBC iplayer for my later delectation.

Last night I started to make inroads into the backlog of unwatched TV shows, starting with Spiral Series 7. Then I discovered I hadn't grabbed episodes 5 and 6. Merde.

Does anyone else have these episodes tucked away on their hard drive?  I'm not keen on doing the torrent site thing.

Ouai.  But they are approximately 2 GB big.  Each.  How best to offsite the files for safekeeping?

I thought the ending was great. Unexpected, yes. That final scene by the Paris Metro as really very, very good. It carried an awful lot of emotional weight.

I think they could do a spin-off, but the title implies that the story is not about the protagonists, but rather about the system as a whole.  So they could continue with the series whatever happens and their decision to stop is probably based more on the intent to finish before they become formulaic or do a bad run that ends it.

We already felt it had run it's course, and despite starting the last 2 series we didn't finish either. In truth the first series was superb (Aziz was never bettered as a character), and all subsequent ones less good.  Even series 2 (I think) with the ludicrous Spanish shootout was pushing it.

Recently watched the last three episodes from series eight. Had me gripped with suspense.
I recall watching an earlier series and thought it was quite good.

Never watched the first series, started mid series 2.  Seeing as they became less and less Laurel and Hardy as the series went on I'm not sure I could stomach season 1.
