Just a quick question.
Does the garmin edge 200 need a memory card ?

No memory card required. It doesn't have a slot for a card, so there's no way of adding one.

The 200 is really not much more than a multi-function bike computer that captures your route (and can provide you with an arrow to follow for a pre-loaded route) .. no mapping, thus no memory card.

That said - it's excellent - simple - very good value - more than one bike and you use multiple mounts to swap it around.

The one slight annoyance to me is that it only shows the time (i.e. the clock) when not in the Ride mode - solved by strapping an old watch to the handlebars.

Edge 200.

Excellent in a back pocket for recording a ride if you use a proper SatNav to give you directions.
