Broekn finger - strapped up, any idea how long I need to keep the banadages in p

Unfortunately I broke my little finger a few weeks back. I finally bit the bullet and went to A&E for a morning of people watching before getting an X-ray and confirmation that it's broken (neat diagonal break).
So now it's strapped up and I got half way up the road before realising that I completely forgot to ask* how long I need to keep the strapping on. Anyone know roughly how long it usually take to fix itself.

Three to four weeks from the date of injury is usual; has any follow-up been arranged?
Stiffness can be a major issue after hand injuries and someone should make sure you get physio/OT to maximise function.
