If your bag has a lot of miles and/or years on it; there's a good chance one of your rivets has popped.
Also, I may have exceeded the bag's weight limit once or twice; or maybe a hundred times.

OMG! I am massively culturally ignorant and _never_ get musical references etc. That's a first! Mind, I reckon Melanie Pain (who i saw as a "random pick" when she was touring to promote 'Bye Bye Manchester') has a pretty distinctive voice
