No Brianer, HOTH or TOTH?
« on: 22 October, 2017, 09:29:17 pm »
The big decision this weekend was whether heed the warnings put out by the UK media at the start of the weekend about Storm Brian and do a 'NO BRIANER', or head out into the wind? I helped at the Mid Sussex Hilly on Saturday and most riders thought it was OK bar a couple of showers.

I did the Boat Ride Perm today and was pleased that it was a HOTH (Headwind Out, Tailwind Home) rather than  a TOTH (Tailwind Out Then Headwind), sure it was windy but manageable.

Can be a gamble cos it might die down.
Must say during storm Brian I was considering getting a train south just to ride back in an immense TW when 42-45mph were forecast

You didn't really meet Brian in the south-east, I think.  We got to know him rather better in Lancashire.

That's one networking opportunity I'm glad I missed!
