One's intent was to ride out to Winkleigh (50k) and return (all on A/B roads). The other hardy, bold chap had fitted xc tyres on his disc wheeled bike and was 'going to see' what the climb out of North Molton was up onto 400+m Exmoor (forecast answer: 6" plus of snow, -3, fresh easterly on the nose and icicles in his beard).https://ridewithgps.com/routes/26928610I'll be aiming to convert this from 'routes' to 'trips' in April (have the Dorset Coast next weekend).
The route doesn't go through Tiverton now, though, so you'd have struggled to get a 'full roast lunch' the like of which revived you for 2016's afternoon effort.The start/arrivee has had another 2" of lovely powdery stuff in the last 90 minutes.
